Had an awesome time at the show me state rodeo. the weather was great...the arena was awesome...sure beats the old fair grounds...it was nice to see some familiar faces back at the rodeo!! We are already looking forward to next year!!!

This was a great rodeo. Everyone made it a fun weekend and I thought everyone was made to feel appreciated. Everyone did a great job to do an outstanding job. Congrats to the wonderful success!

The KC rodeo was WONDERFUL, had a GREAT time and the facilities was FABULOUS... Looking forward to Vegas now,,, Hats off to the MGRA group... Nice job!!!!

The camping was way too expensive for what there was to offer at $20 a night for electric plug in in the middle of a parking lot. The arena was nice. Very few contestants due to lack of added money. That was a huge loss for people pulling horses from out of state. I'm sure most of MGRA's money went to paying for the venue and it was a nice facility. I'm not trying to put down MGRA it was put on well, just the lack of contestants hurt everyone and the camping price was way too high for 2 or 3 nights is more than a whole months worth of electricity.

I'm confused now; are both rodeos in MO cancelled? And if so, why? The Gateway Regional doesn't say it's cancelled, yet the questions/comments lead me to believe it is; there are no questions or comments I can find concerning the one in KC. I'd appreciate any info regarding the KC rodeo. Thanks! Sim

I believe KC rodeo is cancelled, but they may be having one in Kansas. To be sure, check out IGRA website: International Gay Rodeo Association, www.igra.com; they have updated information

GATEWAY HAD SCHEDULED A RODEO FOR MAY 3-4 ,2008. THAT RODEO HAD BEEN CANCELLED.
KANSAS CITY WAS SCHEDULED FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND. HOWEVER THEY HAVE SINCE CANCELLED.
SO
GATEWAY REQUESTED TO BE ALLOWED TO GET BACK ON THE SCHEDULE. AND THEY WERE APPROVED BY IGRA TO TAKE THE DATE FOR KANSAS CITY, SO NOW THE GATEWAY RODEO IS BACK ON THE SCHEDULE, HOWEVER IT WILL BE HELD THE WEEKEND OF LABOR DAY THE FORMER DATE OF KANSAS CITY.
FOR ANY FURTHER QUESTIONS PLEASE REFER TO THE GWGRA WEBSITE.

i mailed mike the mgra pres yesterday about the rodeo. it has definately been canceled in KC no reasons as to why .
