This was a great rodeo inspite of short planning time and the current economic situation. Seemed everyone had a great time with rodeo, community goat dressing, Kiddie rodeo, wonderful concert, outstanding preformances of visiting and local Royality, and evening events and parties. The success was due to the wonderful TEAM efforts of the contestants, community sponsers, contestants, officals, visitors, audience, visiting Royality, and the GWGRA board, royality, and hard working members. A huge THANK YOU to all involved and hope anyone that missed it will be able to join the great time at the next one!

I worked the chute crew and had a better time doing that for the first time than I ever did competing in only one event. But do not get me wrong, I still intend to compete next season. I did have a great time at the rodeo but the bars, as fun as they were, were just too far to drive.

Very well organized rodeo and a good time. However the distance between the bars, host hotel and rodeo grounds was pretty far. Also they used a new stock contractor and the animals had not been used in a rodeo before and were very difficult to deal with. Overall a good rodeo, not sure I'd return next year. Time will Tell. We'll be sending out an official press release soon. It could be emailed to you if you sign up for messages at our www.gwgra.com website. Hwy 40/64 will be shut down the first of 1/08 for a long time, and that was the main route to our arena.

I did notice that also, thats a shame that alot of the Gay rodeos are being cancelled this year. This past year at the chicago rodeo, alot of the streets were flooded and they still pushed on. I have only started to get intrested in Rodeo over the past 3years, and now alot are being cancelled, anyone know why others are also being cancelled?

I also gotta say that its a shamae that there will not be a St Louis Rodeo this year, they had a good rodeo in 07,I will miss it and hope in 09, i can make it and it will be around

It seems like there is a number of gay rodeos canceled this year... is it because of lack of intrest, or is it because each town has a number of problems going on like in st louis

ok. two questions for anyone who can answer them. One is there a lack in the gay rodeo and that is the reason why they are being canceled? or is it that each of these towns are really having different problems like the one in st louis.
2ed question, the highway they are closing in st louis is the 2ed highway and they are combinding the 2 is the other one 64??? not sure. Is it that hard to get to the other highway?
